This bio-feedback can provide important clues to the reasons and the origins of stress in the body. Likewise, it can provide important clues as to the best way to address the stress.
As you can imagine, trust between your practitioner and yourself is integral, and the relationship between you and your practioner will evolve over time. Your body will show where there is stress by no longer being impacted by the thought of the stressful stimulus.

Primarily due to funding limitations, academic research in kinesiology is limited at this point in time. However, there is growing anecdotal evidence around the benefits of kinesiology (and a range of alternative health therapies. What can I expect from my first session?
The first session with a practitioner can take an hour to an hour and a half. The kinesiologist will take a detailed history of your life, your lifestyle and any significant operations or trauma, they will often ask you what the ideal outcome you would like to achieve.
The remainder of the session you'll be asked to lie, fully clothed, on a massage table. Sessions usually last for about an hour and involve different challenges depending on the problem.
How much does this cost?
In Australia you can pay anywhere from $80-$180 a session depending on the level of experience and additional qualifications of the practitioner. Often natural therapy colleges offer student clinics where you can access a session for much less, and under the supervision of a senior practitioner.
