Human Rights and Responsibilities in Practice Foundations
- For Professionals

This three-part workshop provides professional staff with foundational training in applying human rights in their work.

The sessions are designed for groups of diverse professionals from a range of backgrounds, including (police, governance and policy professionals, youth services, social work, law, health and academia) to explore the foundational concepts relating to human rights, human rights frameworks and mutual obligations and human rights risk assessments in their day-to-day work and personal lives.

Sessions are delivered as 3 x 2-hour online sessions, including a follow-up session online in the months to consolidate learning.

Human Rights in Practice - For Families and Carers

This is a 3-hour workshop that is delivered to families and carers of young people.

It provides practical information about human rights and how it applies to them in their daily lives.

Human Rights and Responsibilities in Action - Program for Young People
​

This is a 10 week experiential program which guides young people to learn more about human rights in their daily lives.

Over the course of the 10 weeks young people are empowered by understanding how human rights works in democratic societies generally and how this applies to how they navigate their own worlds through access to services, schools, the law and health services.

They learn about the social contract and the obligations they have to each other and the broader community, as well as the obligations that the community has towards them and tackle pressing issues in their lives.

This program can be delivered as a stand-alone initiative or can be integrated into existing programs.
